After every 40 hours of use, it is smart practice to manually test all pressure relief valves in your compressor system. There is a 300 psi valve on the tank and a 100 psi pop off on the top of the head on the Quincy compressor. To manually test the pop off valves, simply pull the ring upward to release pressure. Then pull the ring down to reset the valve. Always use hearing protection and safety glasses any time you release high pressure air.
